If you travel in coffee land a lot, the appearance and character of the
different cultivars starts to make sense to you. That's why the visit
to the botanical garden was such a shock. You may think nothing of a 30
foot tall coffee tree, but I have never seen anything like it! These are
Liberica and Canephora trees, which are not commercially viable for quality
coffee production, yet they are impressive! That's my friend John DiRuocco
(Mr. Espresso) in the red and he's not that short! |
