Maria's Confuse both friends and strangers, but impress all coffee cognoscenti
within a 2 mile radius. Yes, it's a cupping spoon on a shirt. It's
wacky. In very faint, small text it reads "Slurping, sucking and
spitting since '97." What does all that mean? Must I explain?
Well, I won't. It's line art. I made it myself. Well, not entirely.
But we had it silkscreened on really nice (read as expensive) soft,
light cotton American Apparel shirts (made in US, sweatshop-free).
And they are old-school ringer types with a flecked tan color and dark
brown sleeves. The ink is actually a lighter brown than pictured. (I
had to do these pics in photoshop because we didn't have one to photograph
at the time. So no, that's not me or maria in the pictures!) Anyway,
It blends in. It instantly looks like your old, favorite t-shirt. BTW,
this cupping spoon is my favorite, although you can bend the SCAA
cupping spoon to match this shape. |

| I recommend that anyone starting out on a new espresso machine (or just learning to produce espresso on any other machine) use good pre-ground espresso. Why? Because grind is such a huge variable in good espresso extraction. While you are learning the mechanics of the machine, eliminate this unknown factor by using a top quality pre-ground coffee. Illy espresso is probably the most respected Italian espresso brand in the world, a reputation earned by Ernesto Illy and sons for their work at the forefront of defining coffee quality. 8.8 oz can, pre-ground fine for electric espresso machines.
